"Oops!... I Did It Again" is a popular song by American singer Britney Spears from her 2d studio album of the same name. Information technology was released on April xi, 2000, by Jive Records as the pb single from the album, and the sixth single overall. It was written and produced by Max Martin and Rami Yacoub. The lyrics refer to a woman who views dearest as a game, and she decides to use that to her advantage by playing with the emotions of a boy that likes her. Its span features spoken dialogue which references the hit 1997 motion-picture show Titanic.
Upon its release, "Oops!... I Did It Again" received many positive reviews from music critics and some noted similarities to Spears' debut single "...Babe One More Time". The song was nominated for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance at the 43rd Almanac Grammy Awards in 2001. Commercially, it peaked at number ix on the Usa Billboard Hot 100. It topped the charts in at least fifteen countries, including Commonwealth of australia, Denmark, and Spain.
The accompanying music video was directed by Nigel Dick; information technology depicts Spears on Mars, dressed in a reddish bodysuit, as she addresses an astronaut who has fallen in love with her. Information technology went on to receive 3 nominations at the 2000 MTV Video Music Awards. Spears has performed the vocal live on tour, for Oops!... After attaining huge success with her debut album ...Baby One More Time (1999) and its singles "...Baby One More than Fourth dimension", "Sometimes", "(Yous Drive Me) Crazy", "Born to Make You Happy", and "From the Bottom of My Broken Heart",[2] Spears recorded much of her follow-upwardly record Oops!... I Did It Once more (2000) in Nov 1999 at the Cheiron Studios in Stockholm, Sweden. Its title track was written and produced past Max Martin and Rami Yacoub, while background vocals were provided by Martin and Nana Hedin.[3] The track was released on March 27, 2000, by Jive Records as the lead single from the record.[4]
"Oops!... "Oops!... I Did It Over again" was nominated for the Grammy Laurels for Best Female Pop Song Functioning at the 2001 ceremony,[14] but lost to "I Effort" by Macy Grayness.[fifteen] The track was additionally nominated for the Favorite Song at the 2001 Kids' Choice Awards broadcast on Nickelodeon,[sixteen] but lost to "Who Let the Dogs Out?" by the Baha Men.[17]

An accompanying music video for "Oops!... I Did It Once again" was directed by Nigel Dick and was filmed from March 17–18, 2000 in Universal City, California. It was choreographed by Tina Landon. In 2004, it was included on the soundtrack for the sitcom Will & Grace.[51] Irish pop rap duo Jedward performed the vocal live during the sixth series of the British version of The X Cistron in 2009.[52] During the episode "Britney/Brittany" for Glee in 2010, Brittany Pierce (portrayed by Heather Morris) mimicked Spears equally she danced in a cerise catsuit while performing her after single "I'thou a Slave 4 U".[53] The song itself was later performed by Rachel Berry (portrayed by Lea Michele) during the episode "Britney 2.0" in 2012.[54] While on bout with her band the Scene, Selena Gomez covered "Oops!...
